Steve Austin is one of the most influential figures in the world of heavy music. He helped shape  the modern metal style heard in heavyweights like Converge and Mastodon through his work as a producer/engineer, as well as the confounding music of his band Today Is The Day.

I spoke with Today Is The Day's founder and mainman Steve Austin about mortality, determination, love, and why his latest album No Good To Anyone was the most difficult one he's ever made. It was the most intense conversation I've ever had on this podcast.

My thanks to Steve for speaking with me, and to you for listening.
