Does Shane Embury need an introduction? On THIS site? Dreams of Consciousness wouldn't exist without Shane's work with Napalm Death; and that's not to mention his other projects like Venomous Concept, Lock Up, Blood From The Soul, Dark Sky Burial... the list of his musical endeavours goes on, as does the man's desire to keep breaking boundaries and exploring new styles of music.
I spoke with Shane about what genres of music he still has on his bucket list, and whether he views touring as a necessary evil. We also discussed the "AC/DC meets Hüsker Dü" direction of Venomous Concept's latest album, The Good Ship Lollipop, and the paradox of using dark emotions to create uplifting music.
My thanks again to Shane for speaking with me, and to you for listening.
