"Heavy Sabbathian doom rock" is how Swedish trio Hazemaze describe their music - a none-too-subtle nod to the extent that Black Sabbath influences their songs.
I spoke with Hazemaze bassist Estefan Carrillo about how the band transitioned from their earlier garage rock sound to the "true" doom metal style they currently play. We also discussed how recording an EP of Sabbath covers helped them through the writer's block the experienced before completing their third album, Blinded By The Wicked.
My thanks to Estefan for speaking with me, and to all of you for listening.
