Do Cannibal Corpse really need an introduction? Their influence has been seismic, and their imitators are legion. While there are endless variations of "death metal", there may be no better representation of the genre in its purest form than Cannibal Corpse.

I spoke with drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz about how death metal OG Erik Rutan became a full-time member of Cannibal Corpse, as well as Erik's contributions as songwriter and producer to the latest Cannibal Corpse album, Violence Unimagined. We also talked about the keys to Cannibal Corpse's consistency and longevity for the past three decades, and how Paul would like the band to be remembered.

My thanks to Paul for speaking with me, and to all of you for listening.
