VHS have been featured frequently on Dreams of Consciousness, and for good reason - they write death metal songs about horror movies, a chocolate-and-peanut-butter type combination that can't be beat.

I spoke with VHS vocalist/guitarist Mike Hochins about the movies that inspired their upcoming space-themed release Gore From Beyond the Stars , and how they were able to record the album during a pandemic. We also discussed the the ways Eighties low budget video culture mirrored the death metal scene, and why VHS recorded covers of Tiffany and the Full House theme song.

My thanks to Mike for speaking with me, and to you for listening.
