Manchester's Burial represent an overlooked portion of the UK's extreme metal scene. No keyboards, operatic vocals, or Victorian costumes here - the three-piece keep their music stripped down and to the point, utilizing the best elements of both death and black metal.
I spoke with Burial drummer David Buchan about the band's background, the nature of Manchester's metal scene, and the proudest moments of their 15 year career. We also discussed the stylistic changes from their earliest releases to their latest album, Satanic Upheaval.
My thanks to David for speaking with me, and to you for listening.
