Chepang are a true representation of New York City's "melting pot" nature. Cheekily referring to themselves as "immigrindcore", the band's lyrics and artwork draw from their Nepalese heritage, while their free-form style integrates unorthodox instrumentation and collaborators.

I spoke with guitarist Kshitiz Moktan about how Chepang grew out of his previous band Sangharsha, and why they ended up with two drummers and two vocalists. We also discussed the many guest appearance on their latest album, Chatta, and what to expect from future Chepang releases.

My thanks to Kshitiz for speaking with me, and to you for listening.
