Endorphins Lost play power violence without losing sight of their punk roots. Their songs have ample amounts of blastbeats and sludge riffs, while still maintaining the rawness and simplicity of hardcore punk.
I spoke with bassist/vocalist Brandon Hayden about how a desire to try playing different instruments led to Endorphins Lost forming, and why their songs start with the lyrics. We also discussed why the band eased back from the "metal" sound of previous releases, and what led Brandon to record the latest Endorphins Lost release Night People himself.
My thanks again to Brandon for speaking with me, and to you for listening.
