Copenhagen's Orm compose atmospheric black metal songs that include trumpets, string arrangements, and stretch past the 20 minute mark. Intended to be listened to without distraction, their releases hearken back to the "headphone albums" of the Sixties and Seventies.
I spoke with drummer Adam Bjørn Schønemann-Warming about arranging songs via white board, and why the band caters their albums to vinyl releases. He also explained why the creation of their latest album Intet • Altet was stuttered, and the challenges that come with playing Orm's music live.
My thanks again to Adam for speaking with me, and to you for listening.
