For Polish grind veterans Antigama, their music is "controlled chaos". The quartet aren't afraid to work outside accepted notions of what a grindcore band could and should sound like, staying true to the anarchic and rule-defying spirit of the genre's origins.
I spoke with drummer Pawel "Pavulon" Jaroszewicz about what makes Antigama different from other death/grind bands, and how they manage to raise the bar with each album. We also discussed the reasons the band recorded their parts remotely for their latest album Whiteout, and why they've worked with recording engineer Paweł Grabowski for almost a decade.
My thanks to Pavulon for speaking with me, and to all of you for listening.
