I spoke with drummer Mauricio "Boka" Alves Fernandez about why he had to learn songs for their latest album Necropolítica in the studio, and how local issues in Brazil inspire RDP's "sarcastic and macabre" lyrics. We also discussed why Necropolítica sounds like a return to their crossover era, and what the band has left to accomplish after 40 years and 14 albums.
My thanks to Boka for speaking with me, and to all of you for listening.
