Innumerable Forms was created by Justin DeTore to play doomy death metal in the style of the classic Peaceville Records roster, as well as early Finnish death metal bands. Initially a solo project, the band's line-up expanded over the years to include members of Genocide Pact, Iron Lung, Power Trip, and Mammoth Grinder.
I spoke with vocalist/founder Justin DeTore about why he expanded Innumerable Forms to a full band, and why he prefers to write songs in the rehearsal space. We also discussed how the band has evolved on the latest album Pain Effulgence, and the punk roots of the current wave of old school death metal bands.
My thanks again to Justin for speaking with me, and to you for listening.
