The last time Nite was featured on the podcast, the Bay Area band had just released their second full-length Voices of the Kronian Moon - an album that blended heavy metal bombast with occult darkness, placing the group at the crossroads of "true" and "kvlt". It marked a period of renewed activity from a band whose debut album was released when the world was shutting down due to the pandemic.

I caught up with guitarist Scott Hoffman to talk about Nite's unique style of blackened heavy metal, and whether the pandemic affected the band's momentum. We also discussed why Nite discards so many songs, and why they wanted their latest album Cult of the Serpent Sun to be "more street" than its two predecessors.

My thanks again to Scott for speaking with me, and to you for listening.
